大正8年（1919年）福司酒造の前身である合名会社敷島商会として創業。主要銘柄「福司」（フクツカサ）の酒名命名の由来は、日本古来の縁起の特徴・福（幸）を司る、福を招く・幸を呼ぶ酒等の願いを込めて付けられました。仕込み水は釧路湿原の地下を流れる伏流水で、摩周湖・阿寒湖・屈斜路湖などが水源地です。若手の造り手梁瀬一真さんが南部杜氏である佐々木杜氏の後を引き継ぐべくお酒を醸しています。
Founded in 1919 as Fukushima Shuzo’s predecessor, a company known as Shikishima Shokai.The origin of the name “Fukatsukasa” was attached with the wishes of “to be happy” and “to bring happiness”. Feed water is underground water flowing in the basement of Kushiro Wetland, Lake Mashuu, Akan Lake, Kussharo Lake, etc. are the source of water. This water is a soft taste of water even though it melts gently.
